A scenic bus ride from Chaguaramas Hotel and Convention Centre is Macqueripe, a delightful, sheltered cove, surrounded by forested cliffs; perfect for bathing and snorkeling. Here, Venezuela's mountains seem very close. The 2.5 km trail to the golf course affords lovely views of the Tucker Valley and North Coast. You may even see the peculiar courting rituals of the white bearded manakin.
