Mt. Catherine has a radar station that is used by the Air Port Authority of Trinidad and Tobago. The area is also abundant in wild life. 

Mt. Catherine is one of the many peaks in the Northern Ridge on the Peninsula. It is also a heaven for bird watchers as it's vegetation and terrain makes it a sanctuary for birds.
