Balata Scientific Name - Manilkara bidentata (A.DC.) Chev Common Name - Balata A large evergreen tree reaching heights of 50 meters. Brown with exfoliating long narrow rectangular thick flakes. |

Flower:
White
in colour, clustered at the end of the branches about 1cm in diameter. Fruit: A globose berry about 3cm in diameter with dark brown seed in pulp. |
