The Chaguaramas Development Authority (CDA), as part of its environmental outreach   educational programme took its environmental mascot “Chaggie” into the streets of Port of Spain on Friday July 16, 2010. Chaggie’s visit to the capital city was done to heighten public awareness of the need for environmental conservation and preservation and serve as a reminder that the environment is crucial to our development and survival.   In Port of Spain, Chaggie’s message on reducing waste, reuse and recycle was well appreciated. Fliers were also distributed on environmental preservation and tours offered by the CDA.
