Errol Flynn falls in love with Macqueripe

Errol Flynn likes Trinidad, in fact, he thinks that the island has more than average quota of attractions to offer the traveler in search of something new in the way of general surroundings and picturesque scenery combined with every modern convenience.

When the dashing Hollywood screen star visited Port-Of-Spain for an overnight stop on Monday, he elected to spend his afternoon doing something that appeals to him more than anything else - fishing. Accompanied by his manager, Mr. John Myer, Errol Flynn left for the Macqueripe Beach Hotel, were a fishing party was arranged for him by Mr. Dan McInerny manager of the hotel.

Mr. Flynn was shown over the hotel and part of the 6,000 acre estate, and was more than impressed with all that  he saw. He compared the hotel to the Del Mar Club, famous resort of movie stars just outside of Hollywood and the Arrowhead Hotel another exclusive mountain resort in California.
