The Official Site of the CHAGUARAMAS DEVELOPMENT AUTHORITY Trinidad & Tobago, West Indies

This  39  hectares  facility  was  built  by  American  servicemen  during  their occupation of the north west peninsula in World War II. Plans are on the way for upgrading the golf course to a 27 hole Championship facility and opening of the new course is targeted for the year 2000.

Nestled  between  the   hills   of  Chaguaramas   amidst   tropical   vegetation  in the scenic Tucker valley is the idyllic Chaguaramas public golf course. Away from  the  noise and  confusion of   the  city,  the  course is located just off the main Tucker Valley Road on the way to Macqueripe beach. The area of the course, from the second to the sixth holes was built over the old tonka bean plantation. It included some mature and splendid tonka bean trees that are well over 100 years of age.
