World Environment Day June 5th 2006 - Don't Desert Drylands!
CHAGUARAMAS NATIONAL HERITAGE PARK
The United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP) set the theme in 2006 for World Environment Day (WED) as "Deserts and Desertification" with a sub-theme of "Don't Desert Drylands". The Environment Management Authority (EMA) hosted an exhibition to commemorate this event and the National Heritage Park (NHP) participated.
The objective of the NHP was to raise the consciousness of the public to Chaguaramas vis-a`-vis desertification through photography.
